One-year anniversary of production in Robert-Bosch-Strasse.
That’s how fast time flies. One year ago, the first production batch was manufactured in the new production facility. Since then, a large number of products have been manufactured for our customers.
However, we were not without teething troubles. During this time, for example, we had to optimize the vertical conveyor for conveying raw materials and finished products, learn new processes, put the vacuum mix dryer into operation, and also coordinate internal logistics.
In addition to the new tasks, a heating chamber with six CP3 places was connected while the plant was already in operation, a heatable external tank with a volume of 30,000 liters and automatic dosing was installed, and last but not least, a new pastillation plant was built.
Many work steps have been improved to date and are gradually leading to higher quality and quantity. With an average of five employees under the leadership of the responsible master Florian Linscheid, 5,120 tons of product were produced.
2,813 m³ of water, 476,600 kWh of electricity and 50,970 m³ of gas were needed to manufacture the products, to control processes, to drive motors, to pump liquids and to cool and heat the plants. Thanks to our own photovoltaic system, we were already able to generate 51,247 kWh of electricity ourselves in the first year of operation, thus saving 32 tons of CO2.
We continue to focus on effective energy use and further optimize our processes. In the next few years, we want to further develop the new production facility as well as the existing one and continue to think efficiently about chemistry at both sites in Montabaur.
