Last Wednesday, we had the opportunity to take part in the Chemie³ webinar series and present our commitment to a safe and healthy working environment. The series is aimed at managers and specialists in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and regularly highlights key topics relating to sustainable business practices – from climate protection and resource efficiency to human rights, health and safety.
We owe our invitation to the award we received last year in the RC competition ‘Safe and Healthy Working Environment’. Under the heading ‘Companies with a Focus on Health’, we were able to present our competition entry and other key points of our occupational health management in a 10- to 15-minute practical example.
Focus on small and medium-sized enterprises
As a medium-sized company, it was a special honour for us to share our experiences on this platform. Discussions often focus on the ‘big players’ in the industry, so it was all the more gratifying to be able to show that even with a smaller budget and a lot of commitment, it is possible to achieve a big impact.
Our managing director emphasised with regard to the webinar:
‘It’s great that we, as a small medium-sized company, have been invited to participate in such a platform and that others are interested in how we approach this topic. Employees are the cornerstone of a company’s performance and should be valued by everyone in management, regardless of whether the company is large or small.’
Exchange and new ideas
We were particularly pleased to have the opportunity to make new contacts and expand our sphere of influence. The great interest shown by the participants confirmed to us that health and safety in companies is not only an obligation, but also a valuable investment in the future.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Chemie³, BAVC and IG BCE for the invitation and look forward to continuing the dialogue and providing impetus in the future.
