Let us handle the purchasing for your chemicals
As a full-service provider, we will handle the manufacturing of your chemical products and more. If you wish, we can also purchase all the raw materials needed for the requested products – and we can handle the complete logistics!
After we have comprehensively advised you and jointly considered and discussed your manufacturing processes and formulas, we will coordinate and schedule the purchase of all required raw materials. You can relax and concentrate on your core business while our experienced team takes care of the details: We ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, manage communication with suppliers – from quotation to delivery and payment – and store your raw materials safely and appropriately until they are used in our manufacturing facility. We always keep an appropriate quantity of raw materials in our warehouse for the respective order volume. It saves you storage space and money, but it also allows you to react more flexibly and quickly to different requirements without tying up your own capital.
And the best part: We don’t just do this for you, but for all UCM customers. That gives you the added benefit that we can obtain significantly more favourable conditions, which means you can take advantage of the synergy effects, even if you only need small quantities yourself.

Together with the synergy effects mentioned above, we can thus minimise the appropriate mark-up on raw material prices that we charge for our efforts in raw material procurement.

Provision of raw materials
If it is not possible for UCM to procure your raw materials or if you do not want us to do so, we can also supply your raw materials. This means that you order the raw materials yourself as needed, while UCM takes care of storage and handling. This way, special chemicals in small quantities or special packaging can also be handled. We charge a small fee for the provision of raw materials, which is included in the product price. Especially in the case of very expensive raw materials, this can be cheaper than purchasing via UCM. However, besides the benefits mentioned above, there are also a few disadvantages:

No synergy effects, as only order-related quantities are ordered.

No insurance through UCM for natural hazards.
- No use of residual quantities; they are returned or delivered to the customer with the goods, if there are no follow-up orders.

What can this look like in practice?
Scenario 1
You entrust the procurement of raw materials and packaging completely to UCM. When you need your chemical product, you simply order it from us. We produce it within a few working days (depending on the contract) and deliver it. The advantage for you is that you do not have to operate your own chemical warehouse. Moreover, demand-driven manufacturing means that no storage capacity is needed for the finished products – a cost saving for you and for us.
Scenario 2
You manufacture a product in your own manufacturing facilities, but due to the importance of the product you need a “backup supplier”. Therefore, in addition to your internal manufacturing, approx. 30% of your requirements are always manufactured at UCM. We always store enough raw material so that, in the event of a bottleneck, 100% of your requirements can be produced and delivered at any time. This way, you ensure a continuous supply to the market, independent of your own structures, which could be interrupted by technical breakdowns or even strikes by the workforce.
