These tasks are necessary, but they take up time that could otherwise be spent on creative, strategic and value-adding work. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is precisely where Ursa-Chemie comes in: by using cognitive artificial intelligence, we are taking another step towards sustainable, modern work processes.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Support instead of replacement<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important for us to emphasise that<br>the use of AI at Ursa-Chemie does not mean rationalisation, job cuts or the replacement of people by machines.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quite the contrary.<br>Our AI is intended to be a digital colleague \u2013 to lighten the load, provide support and secure our future viability.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Welcome to the team: Ursalina B\u00e4r \ud83d\udc3b\ud83e\udd16<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with our employees, we have not only assigned tasks to our new AI, but also given it a name: Ursalina B\u00e4r.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And Ursalina has already completed her first successful assignments.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>First successes in everyday work<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83d\uded2 Purchasing: Automated order confirmations<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ursalina takes on a small but time-consuming task in purchasing:<br>she automatically and regularly reminds our suppliers when order confirmations are still missing.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u27a1\ufe0f Result:<br>A reduction of around 30 minutes per week, which can now be used for more important tasks.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83d\udcca Master data maintenance for sustainability reports<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of statutory sustainability requirements, distances to suppliers and customers had to be determined \u2013 a total of 2,800 address records.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manually, this task would have taken about a month of full-time work.<br>Ursalina handles this process fully automatically in the background.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u27a1\ufe0f Result:<br>Fast, efficient and error-free.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Test phase: AI telephone exchange \u2018Ursalina B\u00e4r\u2019<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another component is currently in the testing phase:<br>Ursalina supports us as an AI-powered telephone exchange based on fonio.ai \u2013 comparable to an intelligent answering machine.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the test phase, the following may occur:<\/p><ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><li>Calls from Ursalina are answered and forwarded.<\/li><li>Summaries of telephone calls are sent by email to internal recipients.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These emails are for information purposes only and will not be actively responded to.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the test phase is to gain experience with the technology and find out how it can meaningfully complement our everyday work.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Thinking ahead together<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ursalina is still in the early stages \u2013 and is expected to continue learning.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>Where does your company already use AI?
