Paletten-Abfüllanlage

Our pallet filling lines in use

Our inventory includes four pallet filling lines, one of which is an Ex design at the Alter Galgen site, one in Production 3, one in the Cosmetics tank farm, and another in the LC tank farm.

Fixed pallet filling lines enable automatic and calibrated filling of drums and containers with filling volumes from 60 to 1,000 liters. The weighing ranges are from 15 to 300 kg and the numerical increment is up to 1500 kg. In addition, pallet filling systems feature self-optimizing dosing programs, storable product files, and a PLC function for controlling pumps or valves.

Cyclical checks are carried out to check for safety-relevant states of the filling unit. Tolerance controls as well as the possibility of tare controls, flow controls and filling time monitoring are also provided.

Sturdy stainless steel column and frame constructions are provided for the filling stations and the container roller conveyors as accumulation tracks with swivel and fixed castors for mobile use. An infinitely variable base height adjustment allows conversion to container heights between 600 and 1200 mm. For products that form foams or explosive gases during filling, the containers are filled by means of below-the-surface filling.

The filling station allows the use of different pallet sizes up to 1200mm x1200mm as well as the storage of different containers, filling products and their filling characteristics. In addition, 1,000kg can be filled in five minutes depending on the liquid properties, with a deviation of 500g according to the calibration law and a tolerance of 100g for the pallet filling station.

Functional description of the filling machines:

The filling unit is set up to the container height and fixed by a bolt. Then one pallet of empty drums or one empty IBC at a time is fed to the filling station by means of a lift truck. The filling unit is positioned to the first filling bung by finger pressure. After pressing the start button, the scale tares automatically.

The filling nozzle lowers to the set lower position in the container. The coarse flow valve now opens. The filling nozzle remains in its lower position until it moves up again 5-10 cm when a set weight value is reached, but the filling nozzle is always in the liquid. The upward speed of the filling nozzle is weight-controlled. This depends on the container dimensions and the filling speed. Switchover to fine-flow filling takes place when 95 % of the set filling weight is reached.

The filling nozzle closes when the set weight is reached and returns to its upper position in rapid traverse. The drip catcher now also starts to function.

One container after the other on the pallet is now filled as described.
