We are delighted and proud to have won the Responsible Care Award 2024 from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chemical Employers’ Association and the German Chemical Industry Association! At the award ceremony in the kING Kultur- und Kongresshalle in Ingelheim, we were honoured for our commitment to a safe and healthy working environment.
A workplace that promotes health and community
Health and safety are core values at Ursa-Chemie. Our health management focuses on prevention, information and active participation. This includes our employee app, which we use to regularly inform all employees and invite them to take part in health-promoting activities. These programmes range from ergonomic training to fitness workshops, and social aspects are not neglected either. Our aim is to create an environment in which each individual not only works safely, but also feels comfortable and valued.
An active sign for ‘We care’
The award from the Responsible Care competition confirms that our commitment is valued and seen as exemplary. Dr Christine von Landenberg from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chemical Associations praised our multifaceted health management and our ability to promote a strong sense of community within the team. This recognition shows that our commitment to the health and well-being of our employees is not only recognised as outstanding internally, but also by experts from the industry.
The next step: RC practice exchange and national competition
By winning the state competition, we have now qualified for the national competition in 2024! The national jury will decide on the 1st to 3rd places as well as the digitalisation and SME prize. The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 20 November 2024, as part of the event ‘Responsible Care in Practice: Occupational Health and Safety’ in Frankfurt. We are looking forward to being able to present ourselves in this circle and to taking away valuable impulses for the further development of our health management.
Our vision for the future
We see this award as an incentive to continuously develop our health and safety programme and to provide new impetus. Together, we will expand our programmes and implement new measures to ensure that Ursa-Chemie remains a safe, healthy and attractive workplace.

‘Voluntarily doing more than laws and regulations prescribe’ – that is the principle of Responsible Care. This initiative has set itself the task of committing the chemical industry to the highest standards of safety, health and the environment. For over 30 years, companies throughout Germany have been involved in projects that reinforce these values.
