CHEMISTRY.
CHEMISTRY is our passion. With decades of experience in the contract manufacturing of chemical raw materials, intermediates and end products for various sectors of the chemical industry and related sectors, we can handle the production of chemical mixtures and reaction products for you and refine them to the highest quality standards. We look forward to receiving your product enquiry and will be happy to assess its feasibility at our facility.
Our expertise for your success
We are living in a time of profound change. The synthesis and formulation of chemical products has become a complex undertaking within the regulated EU environment. Legal requirements, industrial standards, complex orders and high customer expectations necessitate labour-intensive production processes, which are accompanied by rising costs.
Ursa-Chemie specialises in meeting these challenges, both technically and organisationally. We see ourselves as a full-service partner for the contract manufacturing of chemical products and offer a comprehensive range of services that covers the entire process from start to finish and caters to every requirement.
Your full-service contract manufacturer for chemical products
Ursa-Chemie has over 50 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing. During this time, we have built up a wide range of cross-sector expertise, enabling us to offer a range of 800 different products across 20 different industries.
What makes us unique is that none of the products in this range are developed in-house. As a 100% contract manufacturer, we produce goods for other companies that they are unable, unwilling or not permitted to manufacture themselves. We never compete with them; on the contrary, we act as an extension of our clients’ operations.
Over the years, we have never lost sight of our values and goals – flexible and customer-focused collaboration at all times, a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, and the highest standards of product quality – and have continued to build on them. The same applies to our multifunctional facilities, which enable us to fulfil our customers’ orders in a mobile and flexible manner, whilst adhering to the highest quality standards.
Our range of contract manufacturing services
In three separate production areas (GMP production and technical production), we manufacture complex blended and reaction products in compliance with both GMP requirements and explosion protection standards, and handle the finishing process. As your partner of choice, we use your formulation as a basis for optimising our processes and facilities, and monitor and control every step to ensure high-quality production – naturally whilst maintaining the utmost discretion.
Blended products
In the ‘Blended Products’ division, we process not only liquids such as solutions, emulsions, dispersions and suspensions, but also solids – for example, by separating and processing solids from suspensions, drying moist solids, or transferring materials. To process this wide variety of products, we use temperature-controlled mixing vessels made from various materials, as well as different types of agitators and in-line dispersers with powder suction. In-line pH measurements and dosing below the liquid level are also possible.
For the contract manufacturing of powder mixtures, we also have vacuum mixing dryers, powder mixers and powder mills that are approved for the processing of powdered products under explosion protection (Ex Zone 21) and enable the production of high-quality end products in various batch sizes.
Reaction products
In the ‘Reaction Products’ area, reactions can be carried out under pressures of up to 6 bar and under vacuum down to 20 mbar at process temperatures of up to 190 °C, as well as simple distillations or production processes under a nitrogen atmosphere. Our flexible plant layout is designed for a wide range of products and enables, amongst other things, the neutralisation and polymerisation of solutions (e.g. epichlorohydrin reactions) and solid-liquid separations using centrifuges. Substitutions involving redox reactions and complex reactions can also be carried out – the ideal conditions if you wish to outsource your chemical synthesis.
Product enhancement
Do you need your chemical mixtures and reaction products to be tailored to specific requirements? As a full-service provider with decades of experience, we can carry out a wide range of technically demanding processes in our versatile production facilities and, as part of our contract manufacturing services, we naturally also undertake the finishing of virtually all types of chemical products.
GMP certification as proof of quality
GMP stands for ‘Good Manufacturing Practice’, meaning sound – or, in other words, safe – manufacturing practices. GMP guidelines are designed to ensure the quality of production processes and environments, and are primarily applied in the manufacture of medicines, active pharmaceutical ingredients, food and feed, and cosmetics.
The standard DIN EN ISO 22716 “Cosmetics – Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) – Guidance on Good Manufacturing Practice” (abbreviated to Cosmetics GMP) specifies the relevant requirements, including those relating to hygiene, premises, equipment, documentation and controls. In other words: it serves as a guide for the reliable management of the entire product flow – from the receipt of an enquiry through production, monitoring and storage to the dispatch of the finished product, including comprehensive documentation.
As part of an independent audit, the manufacture of cosmetic raw materials is regularly inspected in accordance with these guidelines; upon successful completion, GMP certification is issued, which serves as proof of compliance for regulatory authorities and customers.
Ursa-Chemie holds such GMP certification for the manufacture of cosmetic products in accordance with the requirements of the European Cosmetics Regulation. In our dedicated GMP production area, we manufacture products that meet higher purity standards. Electronic process controls ensure consistent quality results – even under difficult conditions. This is complemented by comprehensive monitoring and documentation of all raw materials, processes and finished products, as well as our uncompromising quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
For our customers, this not only brings benefits such as maximum security, the highest quality and greater efficiency, but also saves them the cost of a time-consuming certification process.

capabilities
As a full-service contract manufacturer, we produce chemical raw materials, intermediates and finished products for a wide range of industries. A diverse range of additional services rounds out our offering – from process-oriented support, procurement, logistics, IT and management to storage and dispatch. With our expertise, versatile production facilities and excellent infrastructure, we are able to meet a wide variety of product requirements.
Our chemical production facilities
Modern stainless steel, GMP and solid-state systems for flexible production. Each system is optimised for specific requirements and meets the highest safety standards.
Stainless steel vessels
Sophisticated blended products are manufactured in stainless steel vessels. With capacities ranging from 500 to 8,000 litres, the mixing and reaction vessels meet all requirements for a wide variety of batch sizes. Using various agitators, products with a viscosity of up to 60,000 mPas can also be produced.
GMP-certified vessels
GMP reactors are used to manufacture complex blended products in accordance with GMP requirements (Cosmetics GMP). Here, we produce products with stringent purity requirements. These include, for example, hygiene products and active ingredients for the cosmetics industry and agriculture, as well as eco-friendly preservatives and disinfectants.
Solid materials plants
In our solid-state processing plants, we manufacture powdered products. We cover the entire production chain – from crystallisation, separation and drying through to mixing and grinding. Processing in an explosion-proof environment (Ex Zone 21) is also possible.
