Physical activity is an important part of a healthy working day. That is why we want to keep offering our staff opportunities to take active steps to improve their own health and fitness.
As part of our taster programme for workplace health promotion, our staff were therefore able to try out a varied full-body workout: ZirkelFit.
A varied workout for the whole body
ZirkelFit is a form of functional interval training carried out at various stations. The exercises change regularly and can be performed with or without small pieces of equipment.
This results in a varied workout that challenges the whole body. The focus is on various aspects of physical fitness:
- Strength
- Stamina
- Coordination
- Stability
- Mobility
By combining different exercises, you can make your training varied whilst at the same time integrating it efficiently into your daily work routine.
Physical activity as part of workplace health promotion
With ZirkelFit, we wanted to give our staff the chance to try out a new exercise programme in a really straightforward way.
Particularly when your working day leaves little time for sport, short and varied training sessions can be a good way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Circuit training combines different areas of training and offers exercises of varying levels of difficulty.
The training session was led by a trainer from dHb digital human balance GmbH, who guided the participants through the various stations and explained the exercises.
Active together
As well as the health benefits, these activities also focus on the enjoyment of exercising together. Training together provides a welcome break from the daily grind at work and, at the same time, offers the chance to get to know colleagues in a different setting.
For us, workplace health promotion is an important part of a modern working environment. Through a range of initiatives, we aim to support our staff in integrating health and physical activity more fully into their daily working lives.
ZirkelFit proved to be a lively and varied way to get started – and perhaps, for some, it also provided the motivation to incorporate exercise even more into their daily lives in future.
