On 07. and 08. March we had the pleasure to welcome a special group of guests at UCM: Pupils of the Realschule Plus from Westerburg visited us in the context of their elective subject “career orientation”. This subject offers young people the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different occupational fields at an early stage and to gain initial experience.
The excursion took the students first to the career information center (BIZ) and then to our company. The tour of our company was organized in cooperation with the BIZ and took place over two days. In small groups, the students were guided through our premises and were able to get an idea of the different professions within our company.
Our aim was to give the young people an understanding of our business activities and the training we offer. We are very pleased that we were able to give them an insight into our work and hope that this gave them an impression of the many opportunities in the chemical industry.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the letter of thanks from the Realschule Plus Westerburg. We were very pleased to hear that the tour aroused great interest among the students and we hope that we will be able to inspire more young people about our company and the chemical industry in the future.
