Ursa-Chemie: Pioneer in Hazardous Materials Protection and Best Practices

In 2020, we received the Hazardous Substances Protection Award from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for our innovative achievements in this area. This prize was awarded for our practical solution and exemplary measure to protect employees from chromium trioxide. Ursa-Chemie aims to share best practices and thus contribute to the further development of the safe handling of hazardous substances. In this blog post, we take a look at recent developments and upcoming participation in a best practice event.

Lecture on closed conditions for CrO3:

On 26.09.2023, Dr Michael Müller will give a lecture entitled “Closed conditions for CrO3 – a technical solution”. This presentation will take place as part of the Best Practice event and will provide insights into Ursa-Chemie’s technical solution for dealing with chromium (VI). To attend the lecture, registration is required: www.gda-portal.de

Presentation of the best practice example:

As part of the GDA (Joint German Occupational Health and Safety Strategy) work programme on carcinogenic hazardous substances (AP KeGS), we plan to present our example on dealing with chromium(VI) at the event. The AP KeGS focuses on twelve carcinogenic hazardous substances and we have been given the opportunity to present our proven practical solution in both a lecture and a poster.

The event will take place in the DASA Energy Hall and offers a unique opportunity to interact with visitors at the poster wall. The focus is on the safe handling of the twelve carcinogenic hazardous substances.

As a medium-sized company, we are proud of winning the Hazardous Substances Award 2020 and our upcoming participation in the Best Practice event. We are excited about the coming developments and urge all interested parties to register for this year’s event to learn about the latest findings in the field of hazardous materials protection and to learn from best practices.
