On 24 November 2023, our trainees and their trainers had the great opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into one of our parent companies, Z&S GmbH. Accompanied by our management and production management, the visit was a special highlight in the training programme at Ursa-Chemie GmbH.
The day began with a warm welcome from the plant manager of Zschimmer & Schwarz at the Lahnstein site. As part of an extensive tour, our trainees were able to visit the laboratory building, the electrical and maintenance department and the automated storage systems with robots. What was particularly impressive was the similarity of the IT devices and systems to our own, which emphasised the close relationship between our companies.
Another highlight was the guided tour of the production facility, where the trainees were able to gain a practical insight into the processes and technologies at Zschimmer & Schwarz. Here they were given a clear demonstration of the high efficiency and automation of the production processes.
After an informative and exciting morning, we were invited to the Z&S staff canteen, where we were able to enjoy lunch together. This opportunity not only provided welcome refreshment, but also the chance to exchange ideas and network.
The background to this visit was to give our trainees the opportunity to get to know one of our parent companies and experience training from a different perspective. The direct comparison enabled us to identify potential synergies in training between our companies, which can be further expanded in the future.
Our trainees and trainers were delighted with the new impressions and experiences. Such visits are an integral part of our training philosophy in order to give our junior staff a comprehensive understanding of the industry and prepare them for their professional future in the best possible way.
Many thanks to the Z&S plant manager and his team for the friendly welcome and the informative tour. We look forward to further joint projects and a lively exchange for the benefit of our trainees.
