On 19 April 2024, we welcomed seven careers advisors from the Montabaur Employment Agency to Ursa-Chemie. The aim of this visit was to present our company and, in particular, the rare profession of ‘chemical technician’ in the Westerwald in more detail.
After a detailed tour of the plant, during which the guests were given an insight into our work processes, an exchange took place with our management and the trainers. This focussed in particular on the versatility and importance of the chemical technician profession. Using practical examples, we were able to illustrate how exciting and challenging this job is.
Another important point of the meeting was the existing cooperation between Ursa-Chemie and the employment agency in the area of training and recruiting skilled workers. In addition, special support programmes for immigrants and opportunities for retraining were discussed in order to open up access to the chemical technician profession to even more people.
