The health of our employees is particularly important to us at Ursa-Chemie GmbH. As part of our Health Program 2024, we were once again able to inspire with innovative and practical units this year. The units “Healthy cooking” and the AOK campaign “Take a break” were particularly in focus.
Healthy cooking: Discover new recipes together
Nutrition is a key component of physical well-being and performance. Our health circle therefore organized a session on “healthy cooking”, in which our employees prepared healthy and balanced dishes together.
The selection of recipes was varied: from Asian wraps and mango chicken salad to homemade power balls, there was something for everyone. Special attention was paid to foods that are not only tasty but also rich in nutrients. The recipes were then taken home – ideal for inspiring family and friends.
“Take a break”: theory and practice in collaboration with the AOK
The event took place on 14 November: the “Take a break” session, which we organized together with the AOK.
The theoretical introduction
The AOK kicked off the event with the topic “Eating better together”. It was about the importance of a healthy breakfast and snacks during breaks for a steady supply of energy and better concentration – both at work and at school and nursery. The theory emphasized:
- Even blood sugar levels through regular eating every three hours.
- Food choice: Easily digestible, high in fiber, low in fat and high in protein.
- Practical tips: Stress-free morning routines and creative snack ideas.
The practical implementation
Practical “break fillers” were then prepared in small teams. Preparing them together not only raised awareness of healthy eating, but also strengthened team spirit.
Meeting of the Health Circle: Looking ahead
At the end of the year, our health circle met to evaluate the previous program and gather new ideas for 2025.
The proposals are currently being fleshed out and submitted to the management for a decision.
Outlook
With the experience gained in 2024 and the motivation to always try out new things, we are looking forward to making the 2025 health program even more diverse. After all, health starts in everyday life – and together we can make a big difference!
