Heute möchten wir auf eine besondere Aktion zurückblicken, die unser Werk 2 im November 2023 in ein grünes Paradies verwandelt hat. We are talking about our employee planting campaign! It was a great opportunity for us all to get active together and make a sustainable contribution to the environment.
The idea behind the campaign was simple: do something good together, support nature and beautify our working environment. The dates on 11 and 18 November were quickly set and the Werk 2 courtyard became a meeting place for anyone who wanted to get involved.
The planned activities were varied and required teamwork and commitment. Together we dug 1,400 holes, planted 1,400 shrubs 60 cm high and spread bark mulch for optimum growing conditions. We were supported by an experienced horticultural specialist who assisted us with her expertise.
The employee planting campaign was not only hard work, but also a social event. During the breaks, we enjoyed delicious cakes and grilled delicacies. External support from sponsored organisations also helped us to achieve our goals more quickly. The Fighting Farmers and the Schlossgarde Montabaur were there, as well as this year’s “Teenie-Prinz Tino I vom flinken Läufer”.
The participation of all those involved was impressive and the positive energy that could be felt on these two days will not be forgotten. Together, we have not only fulfilled our legal obligations, but also shown that teamwork and environmental protection can go hand in hand.
It is important to emphasise that this action was not just a legal requirement from our planning permission, which stipulated certain planting. We turned this into a joint campaign in which every helping hand and every little bush planted was a sign of environmental awareness and team spirit.
Three hours per appointment were enough to successfully complete our project. The weather conditions were in our favour, and the weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear helped to ensure that the event ran smoothly.
We would like to thank all participants, both employees and external helpers. Your commitment and dedication have made this campaign a complete success. Together, we not only planted shrubs, but also made friends and transformed our Plant 2 into a green oasis.
