Training and instruction block I at Ursa-Chemie – safety, responsibility and team spirit

Schulungs- und Unterweisungsblock I bei Ursa-Chemie – Sicherheit, Verantwortung und Teamgeist

On 21 February, Ursa-Chemie held its first training and instruction block of the year.

A day dedicated to safety, responsibility and common standards – because quality does not begin in production, but in the knowledge and actions of each individual.

Data protection & IT data security

The event kicked off with the topic of data protection and IT data security.
In an increasingly digitalised working world, the responsible handling of sensitive data is essential – both internally and in exchanges with customers and partners.

The aim was to raise awareness of risks and reinforce clear rules of conduct.

General occupational hygiene – theory meets practice

A particularly impressive item on the agenda was the instruction on general occupational hygiene.

The highlight:
The practical demonstration of the transfer of contaminants – made visible with the aid of black light – was particularly impressive. Black light colours were added to a hand cream for this purpose. When people shook hands afterwards, the colour spread unnoticed from person to person. Under the black light, it became clear how quickly and unconsciously contaminants can spread – clearly visible in the picture ‘colourful hands’.

This vivid demonstration clearly showed how quickly and unconsciously contamination can be passed on. A lasting learning effect that sticks in the memory.

Fire safety – be prepared before it matters

The following topics were covered in the area of fire safety:

  • Fire safety regulations Part A + B
  • Fundamentals of fire protection
  • fire protection organisation
  • fire-fighting equipment

The aim is to be able to act safely and in a structured manner in an emergency – through clear procedures and trained employees.

First aid – responding correctly is crucial

The first aid topics were also designed to be practical:

  • Finding an unconscious person
  • Use of a defibrillator
  • Foreign bodies in wounds
  • Applying a wound dressing

In emergency situations in particular, quick and correct action is crucial. Regular refresher courses ensure safety when dealing with such situations.

Occupational safety in accordance with DGUV 1

Another focus was on occupational health and safety obligations and rights – for both employers and employees.

In addition, the importance of personal protective equipment was emphasised once again:

  • safety footwear
  • safety goggles
  • safety vest
  • and other protective equipment

Occupational safety is not a formality, but a responsibility that must be lived out.

Starting together – learning together

In addition to the technical content, team spirit was not neglected either:
We organised a joint breakfast during the break on the training day.

Moments like these not only strengthen knowledge, but also cohesion within the company.

Safety as part of our corporate culture

Regular training and instruction are not just mandatory for us, but an integral part of our corporate culture.

Only with well-trained, sensitised employees can we consistently meet our high quality and safety standards.

We look forward to the next training and instruction blocks.
