From 4 to 5 June 2025, Ursa-Chemie GmbH was present at the 38th edition of the Chemspec Europe in Cologne – one of the most important industry gatherings for fine and speciality chemicals in Europe. This year’s trade fair not only impressed with two sold-out exhibition halls and over 410 exhibitors from 24 countries, but also with a lively exchange of ideas, innovative product ideas and a top-class conference programme. The event made it clear that the industry is on the move – and we are right in the middle of it.
As a medium-sized contract manufacturer in the heart of the Rhineland chemical region, it was a home game for us – and at the same time a valuable opportunity to present our services in chemical contract manufacturing to an international audience. The interest in Our focus on larger container formats (e.g. tankers, IBCs or 220-litre drums) and our comprehensive process and quality expertise were particularly well received.
‘Mirror, mirror on the wall …’ – Attention with a wink
One highlight was our mirror advertising on the toilets at the exhibition centre. With the message ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall – have you been to our stand yet?’ we attracted a lot of attention. The eye-catching posters not only made people smile, but also successfully drew attention to our stand (5L40). A creative approach that stayed in the minds of many trade fair visitors – and immediately loosened up conversations.
Focus on personal exchange
Our presence at the trade fair centred on personal discussions with existing customers, interested parties and specialist colleagues. The discussions ranged from initial project ideas to specific requirements for the contract manufacturing of complex chemical formulations. Once again, it became clear that the need for reliable partners for external production is increasing – not least due to volatile supply chains, increased regulatory requirements and the desire of many companies to focus more on research and development.
Impulses from the conference programme
The varied conference programme also provided us as participants with new impetus – be it in relation to regulatory developments, innovative synthesis technologies or the role of sustainability and digitalisation in the chemical industry. For us, such events are valuable for recognising current trends at an early stage and incorporating them into our strategic development.
Our conclusion
Chemspec Europe 2025 was a complete success for Ursa-Chemie GmbH: inspiring discussions, new contacts and exciting insights into a dynamic industry.
